Wisconsin’s Stay-at-Home Order Regarding Campgrounds
April 21, 2020
Due to the ever-changing situation regarding the Stay-at-Home order, we are providing this update. The State of Wisconsin has officially recognized campgrounds as essential businesses that may open under some special requirements in order to operate under the Stay-at-Home order.
We are open as of APRIL 17 for our seasonal site customers and on MAY 1 we will open for daily overnight campsite customers.
OPEN under the Stay-at-Home order
- One(1) bathhouse will be open and cleaned/sanitized per CDC recommended protocol and schedule.
- The store will be open limited hours for firewood, groceries, take out and delivery and other necessary supplies. The store will be limited to five customers at a time, for ages 18 or older, per the Stay-at-Home order.
- Stargazing, relaxing with family, cozy campfires, the sound of frogs, playing cards or games with your family, telling stories around the campfire and making priceless memories.
TEMPORARILY CLOSED under the Stay-at-Home order
- Outdoor playgrounds, jumping pillow, pedal karts and space ball, inflatable toys in the swimming pond, gaga ball, basketball, volleyball, tether ball and water wars
EXPECTATIONS of our Guests
- We will provide curbside check-in or check-in over the phone before your arrival.
- Follow social distancing requirements of at least 6 feet between all individuals to the maximum extent possible.
- Only one family household may occupy a site (6 people), with a limit for any campsite to fewer than 10 people.
- Visitors will NOT be allowed per the Stay-at-Home order.
- All other private gatherings of any number of people are prohibited.
- Please bring trash bags, food, and supplies with you from your home to avoid unnecessary trips to local stores.
- Gas up before leaving home to avoid stopping at local gas stations.
- We ask our guests to be open to spreading out whenever possible, leaving empty sites between neighbors
- Guests are advised to use the shower and bathrooms in their camping units if so equipped.
Reservations and Cancellations
- Anyone needing to cancel a reservation will receive a rain check to use at a different time this summer or next.
We want your family to have a vacation at Whistle Stop!
We will place your health and safety above all other considerations. Please help us all out and show each other that we all want to get back to normal as soon as possible and that campgrounds are respectfully supporting the state’s Stay-at-Home order. We hope all our campers and their families remain safe and healthy.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
